Luffy is depressed about Sabo, and swears to "get stronger" over and over.
He tells Ace to not die, and Ace tells him he won't die.
Days pass as Luffy and Ace train
They leave a "We gone independent" note at Dadan, but all they did was build a little shack next to hers.
A bear beats up Luffy, Ace cries. Eventually they take revenge on the bear.
The rest is the same as what we saw in the pics.
EDIT: Oh, adding a detail.
After Ace leaves, Luffy keeps training by himself. Dadan's men bring him news of Ace.
The newspaper show Ace making a name for himself.

Rayleigh got to know from Kuma the location Luffy has been flown to
